HP 9432E7R X120 1G SFP LX Transceiver Module

The HP X120 1G SFP LC LX Transceiver (HPE part number JD119B) is a small form-factor pluggable module that provides 1000Base-LX Gigabit Ethernet connectivity over fiber optic cabling. Using an LC duplex connector and long-wavelength (1310 nm) optics, it is designed for single-mode fiber runs that can extend up to 10 km, making it well-suited for building-to-building links, campus backbone connections, and other scenarios where copper cabling cannot reach.

As an HP-branded transceiver, the JD119B is validated for use with HPE networking switches and routers, ensuring firmware compatibility and proper monitoring through HP's management tools. The hot-swappable SFP form factor allows network administrators to install or replace the module without taking the switch offline. While 1 Gbps throughput is no longer the leading edge of network performance, it remains widely deployed and more than sufficient for many branch office, access layer, and legacy infrastructure applications where upgrading to 10G is not yet justified.
