Will this kit work on the same coax line as my cable internet service?
No. The KB-G3-03 uses the G.hn standard and is not DOCSIS compatible, so it cannot share an active cable-internet line from providers like Xfinity, Spectrum, or Cox. It needs a dark, dedicated, satellite, or UHF-only antenna line.
How much power can the PoE+ port supply to a connected device?
The 2.5G RJ45 port supports IEEE 802.3at PoE+ and delivers up to 30 watts, enough to power a ceiling access point, an outdoor 4K or 8K IP camera, or a VoIP phone over the same cable that carries data.
How fast is the connection over coax?
The kit uses G.hn Wave 2 on a 200MHz profile rated for PHY speeds up to 1.6Gbps over coax, paired with 2.5GbE ports. That physical rate is a ceiling, so real-world throughput after overhead will be somewhat lower.
Can I still watch satellite or antenna TV on the same coax?
Yes, with one limit. An integrated 2–200MHz diplexer lets network traffic coexist with satellite TV and UHF over-the-air HDTV, but it does not support VHF OTA channels 2 through 13.
Does the two-pack include everything needed to get started?
Yes. The kit ships with two KB-G3-03 adapters, power supplies, coax cables, and Ethernet cables, and setup is a plug-and-play process where the adapters discover and auto-synchronize automatically.
