The Monoprice SlimRun Cat6A Ethernet Cable (Model 127431) is purpose-built for high-density networking environments where cable management is critical. By using 36AWG pure bare copper conductors instead of the standard 23–24AWG found in conventional Cat6A cables, the SlimRun achieves a dramatically thinner profile that reduces airflow obstruction and makes moves, additions, and changes in crowded racks far more manageable. Despite its slim form factor, the cable is rated for full 10-Gigabit Ethernet and remains backwards compatible with Gigabit and Fast Ethernet connections, so it integrates seamlessly into mixed-speed networks.

S/STP (Screened Shielded Twisted Pair) construction provides two layers of shielding — individual foil around each twisted pair plus an overall braided shield — delivering strong resistance to electromagnetic interference and crosstalk that can degrade performance in dense cabling environments. The RJ45 connectors feature gold-plated contacts for corrosion resistance, molded strain-relief boots to protect the cable-connector junction, and a narrow snagless design that slides in and out of tightly packed switch ports without snagging adjacent cables.
