Frequently Asked Questions

What does "open-air" mean for these Roland headphones?

"Open-air" indicates that these headphones have an open-back design, which allows air to pass through the earcups, creating a more spacious sound and typically reducing ear fatigue.

Are these headphones suitable for use in loud environments?

Due to their open-back design, these headphones offer minimal sound isolation, making them less suitable for use in noisy environments as external sounds can easily be heard.

What is the primary use case for "monitor headphones"?

Monitor headphones like the Roland RH-A7-RD are generally designed for critical listening and audio production tasks, aiming for a neutral and accurate sound reproduction.

Do these headphones cover the entire ear?

Yes, these are circumaural headphones, meaning they are designed to fit around and encompass the entire ear for comfort and sound delivery.

Can these headphones be used in quiet office settings?

While comfortable, the open-back design means sound can leak out, which might be disruptive to others in a quiet shared space.

Is a microphone integrated into these headphones?

Based on the provided features, there is no mention of an integrated microphone with the Roland RH-A7-RD headphones.

👎 Cons

The open-back design offers minimal sound isolation, meaning external noise can easily enter and audio can leak out.
Not ideal for use in noisy environments, as the open design will allow ambient sounds to interfere with listening.
The open-air nature means these headphones may not be suitable for public spaces where sound leakage could be an issue.
The specific impedance and frequency response are not provided, making it difficult to assess compatibility with various audio equipment.
Lack of specific features beyond "open-back circumaural" limits understanding of additional benefits like adjustability or specific driver types.
