Overview

The Sony 10DPW30RS2H is a 10-pack spindle of 8cm DVD+RW rewritable discs built specifically for use with Handycam camcorders and other mini-DVD compatible devices. Each disc offers 1.4 GB of storage capacity, translating to approximately 30 minutes of video recording per disc. The rewritable DVD+RW format means you can record, erase, and re-record content multiple times, making these discs a practical option for users who want to review footage and re-use media rather than accumulating single-use discs.

These compact discs load directly into camcorders equipped with 8cm disc trays, eliminating the need for adapters during recording. For playback or data transfer, most tray-loading DVD drives and players will accept the smaller format. The 10-pack spindle packaging keeps discs organized and protected when not in use. While disc-based camcorder recording has largely been replaced by flash memory in newer models, these Sony DVD+RW discs remain essential supplies for anyone still using a disc-based Handycam.

Frequently Asked Questions

These 8cm mini discs are designed primarily for Sony Handycam camcorders that use DVD media. Check your camcorder's manual to confirm it supports DVD+RW format before purchasing.
DVD+RW discs can typically be rewritten approximately 1,000 times, so you can record over previous content repeatedly without significant quality loss.
Each disc holds up to 30 minutes of video or 1.4 GB of data, based on standard recording quality settings.
Many standard DVD players can read 8cm discs, but you may need a tray-loading player rather than a slot-loading one, as slot loaders can damage smaller discs. Some players require finalization of the disc first.
