The Synology FlashStation FS3600 is a 24-bay all-flash network attached storage server engineered for enterprise environments where I/O performance is critical. Built around a diskless chassis that accepts 2.5-inch SSDs, it delivers over 193,000 iSCSI 4K random write IOPS — making it suitable for databases, virtualization hosts, VDI deployments, and other latency-sensitive applications. The unit ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and runs Synology's DiskStation Manager (DSM) operating system, which provides a comprehensive suite of storage management, backup, replication, and monitoring tools through a web-based interface.

A standout feature is Synology's proprietary RAID F1 technology, which addresses a fundamental risk in all-flash RAID arrays: because identical SSDs under identical workloads tend to wear out at the same rate, traditional RAID configurations face the possibility of multiple simultaneous drive failures. RAID F1 mitigates this by deliberately distributing write operations unevenly, designating one drive to absorb more wear so that drives reach end-of-life at staggered intervals. For capacity growth, the FS3600 scales to 72 drives via expansion units, supporting over 500 TB of raw flash storage.
