The TP-Link Archer BE900 is among the first consumer routers to bring WiFi 7 (802.11be) to market, and it does so with a feature set aimed squarely at power users and future-proofers. Its quad-band architecture splits wireless traffic across one 2.4 GHz band, two separate 5 GHz bands, and one 6 GHz band, enabling a combined theoretical throughput of up to 24.4 Gbps. In practice, this means the router can dedicate bands to different device types—streaming on one 5 GHz band, gaming on 6 GHz, smart-home devices on 2.4 GHz—reducing interference and congestion in busy households. Twelve high-performance antennas with beamforming technology focus signal strength toward connected devices rather than broadcasting uniformly, improving range and reliability through walls and across floors.

On the wired side, the Archer BE900 is equally ambitious. A 10 Gbps Ethernet/Fiber combo WAN/LAN port and a second 10 Gbps WAN/LAN port give you multi-gig backbone options for NAS units, workstations, or aggregated uplinks, while four 2.5 Gbps ports and one 1 Gbps port handle the rest of your wired devices. Two USB ports round out the physical connectivity. Setup and daily management are handled through TP-Link's Tether app or a web interface, but what makes this router visually distinctive is its built-in LED touchscreen on the front panel, which displays real-time network status and allows quick interactions without reaching for your phone. TP-Link's HomeShield service provides basic network security, parental controls, and QoS at no cost, with a premium subscription tier available for advanced threat protection. EasyMesh compatibility lets you extend your network with compatible range extenders or powerline adapters, though notably it does not work with TP-Link's Deco mesh product line.
