Overview

The TP-Link Archer T2UB Nano is an ultra-compact USB adapter that brings both dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity to any Windows desktop or laptop. Measuring just 0.75 x 0.62 x 0.29 inches, this nano-sized dongle is designed to be plugged in and forgotten — it barely protrudes from the USB port, making it ideal for users who need wireless capabilities on a PC that lacks built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, or whose internal adapters have become outdated or unreliable.

On the Wi-Fi side, the adapter supports the AC600 standard with speeds up to 433 Mbps on the 5GHz band and 200 Mbps on 2.4GHz, suitable for everyday web browsing, streaming, and file transfers. The Bluetooth 4.2 radio is backward compatible with older Bluetooth versions down to 1.1, enabling connections to keyboards, mice, headphones, speakers, and game controllers — including PS4 and Xbox controllers for PC gaming. WPA3 encryption support adds a modern layer of wireless security. It is worth noting that the adapter is Windows-only, requiring Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8, or 7 for Wi-Fi and Windows 11, 10, 8.1, or 7 for Bluetooth, and existing internal wireless adapters should be disabled before use to prevent driver conflicts.

Pros & Cons

👍 Pros

  • Combines both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth into a single adapter, saving a USB port compared to buying separate dongles.
  • Nano-sized form factor is small enough to leave permanently plugged in without blocking adjacent ports.
  • WPA3 security support provides stronger encryption than older wireless security protocols.
  • Dual-band AC600 Wi-Fi offers the option to connect on the less congested 5GHz band for better performance.

👎 Cons

  • No Mac, Linux, or smart TV support — strictly limited to Windows operating systems.
  • Bluetooth version 4.2 is a generation behind the current Bluetooth 5.x standard, offering shorter range and lower throughput.
  • AC600 speeds are entry-level and may bottleneck on high-speed internet connections above 200-400 Mbps.
  • Requires disabling internal Wi-Fi and Bluetooth adapters on your PC to avoid driver conflicts.
  • Uses a USB 2.0 interface, which can limit maximum throughput compared to USB 3.0 adapters.
