The Deco X20-Outdoor is TP-Link's answer to a common frustration: mesh Wi-Fi that stops at the exterior wall. It is not a router you set up on its own. Instead, each unit extends an existing indoor Deco mesh system into outdoor spaces, adding up to 2,200 square feet of coverage per unit and supporting up to 150 devices. All of it lives under one network name, and AI-Roaming hands devices to the strongest Deco as people move between the house and the backyard. On the wireless side, the dual-band Wi-Fi 6 design reaches up to 1200 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, for 1.8 Gbps of total bandwidth aimed at outdoor streaming, downloads, and video calls.

Construction is where this model earns its name. The IP65 rating means it is built to shrug off rain, dust, moisture, shocks, and vibration, so it can sit on a fence post or exterior wall year-round. Two Gigabit PoE+ ports allow a single Ethernet cable to carry both power and data, and the bundled mounting kit covers pole, wall, and tabletop setups for indoor or outdoor use. Power can come from PoE+ or an AC supply.
