Pros & Cons
👍 Pros
- In-wall form factor keeps the access point flush-mounted and unobtrusive in offices or hotel rooms.
- PoE passthrough on a downlink port lets you power a downstream device without additional cabling.
- Free Festa cloud management eliminates recurring software licensing costs.
- Zero-Touch Provisioning enables remote multi-site deployment without on-site technicians.
- Four Gigabit Ethernet ports provide wired connectivity for nearby devices right at the wall plate.
👎 Cons
- Incompatible with TP-Link Omada, so existing Omada deployments cannot integrate this unit.
- No standalone management mode — the unit requires Festa Cloud, meaning an internet connection is necessary for configuration.
- HE160 channel width is needed to reach the full 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz, which may not be practical in congested RF environments.
- Wall-plate mounting requires a standard junction box, which may need electrical work if one is not already present.
