Overview

The VEDFOI X99 kit takes an unusual approach to value: rather than selling a bare board, it bundles the motherboard with two Intel Xeon E5-2680 V3 processors and 16GB of DDR4 memory in a 2x8GB pairing. That combination targets a specific buyer — someone who wants a lot of cores for the money and is comfortable building around a mature server-derived platform. The dual LGA 2011-3 sockets are the headline feature, letting both bundled chips work in tandem for workloads that reward thread count over raw clock speed, such as background office tasks, virtualization tinkering, or general multitasking.

On the practical side, the board is described as a standard-layout mainboard with regular ports, an M.2 slot for modern solid-state drives, and DDR4 support. VEDFOI positions it as budget-friendly and stable for daily use, and the included memory and processors mean it can be assembled without hunting down compatible CPUs separately. That said, the listing is light on hard specifications — form factor, chipset details, and precise connectivity are not spelled out — so anyone matching it to a case, cooler, or power supply should confirm those particulars before buying. It is best understood as an affordable entry point into multi-core computing rather than a cutting-edge build.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. The kit bundles the motherboard with two Intel Xeon E5-2680 V3 processors, so both CPUs are included and there is no need to source chips separately.
It includes 16GB of DDR4 memory arranged as two 8GB modules, giving you a functional memory setup out of the box that you can expand later.
The board and both bundled Xeon E5-2680 V3 chips use the LGA 2011-3 socket, the standard for Intel's X99 dual-CPU platform.
The board includes an M.2 slot for faster solid-state storage, though the listing does not specify the exact interface, so confirm NVMe compatibility before purchase.
It targets budget-minded buyers who want many cores for multitasking and office use, rather than those chasing top single-core speed for the latest games.
