Yes. The USB-C header plugs directly into iPhone 15, 16, and 17 Pro and Pro Max models, and no app or driver is needed to browse and transfer files.
Does the SD slot accept CFexpress or XQD cards from my cinema camera?
No. The SD slot supports SDXC, SDHC, SD, MMC, and RS-MMC only. CFexpress Type A/B/C, XQD, SIM, MS Cards, and Memory Stick are explicitly unsupported.
Are any memory cards included in the box with this reader?
No. Both SD and microSD cards are sold separately, so budget for media if you do not already own cards for your camera or drone.
How does it perform when plugged into an older USB 2.0 port?
It remains functional, since the reader is backward compatible with USB 2.0, but transfer speeds fall well below the 5Gbps USB 3.0 rating on those ports.
Is the cable removable, and how bulky is the reader in a bag?
The cable is built in and stays tethered to the body, so it cannot be lost or replaced. The whole unit weighs 16 grams and is slim enough for a camera bag pocket.
