Furman CN-1800S 15A Smart Sequencing Power Conditioner

The Furman CN-1800S is a rack-mountable smart sequencing power conditioner designed to bring order and protection to professional A/V installations. At its core, the unit features Furman's Series Multi-Stage Protection (SMP) technology, which absorbs and dissipates surge energy without the use of sacrificial MOVs — meaning the protection does not degrade over time the way it does in conventional surge strips. Complementing this is the Linear Filtration Technology (LiFT), which filters AC noise linearly across a wide frequency range to deliver cleaner power to sensitive audio and video equipment. An Extreme Voltage Shutdown (EVS) circuit adds another layer of safety by automatically disconnecting equipment when incoming voltage exceeds safe thresholds.

What sets the CN-1800S apart from basic power conditioners is its SmartSequencing capability. With the press of a front-panel button or turn of a key switch, the unit powers up connected devices in a controlled sequence, then reverses the order during shutdown. This prevents the damaging inrush currents and audible transients that occur when an entire rack powers on simultaneously. With nine total outlets — eight on the rear and one on the front for convenient access — the CN-1800S can handle a full complement of rack gear within its 15-amp capacity. The standard 1U chassis slides into any 19-inch equipment rack, and optional BlueBOLT compatibility (via a separately sold adapter) opens the door to remote monitoring and control over IP for integrators who manage installations from off-site.
